Thioredoxin h2 and o1 Show Different Subcellular Localizations and Redox-Active Functions, and Are Extrachloroplastic Factors Influencing Photosynthetic Performance in Fluctuating Light

چکیده

Arabidopsis contains eight different h-type thioredoxins (Trx) being distributed in cell organelles. Although Trx h2 is deemed to be confined mitochondria, its subcellular localization and function are discussed controversially. Here, fractionation studies were used clarify this question, showing protein exclusively localized microsomes rather than mitochondria. Furthermore, trxo1, trxh2 trxo1h2 mutants analyzed compare the role of with mitochondrial o1. Under medium light, trxo1 showed impaired growth, while was similar wild type. In line this, clustered differently from type respect nocturnal metabolite profiles, revealing a decrease ascorbate glutathione redox states. fluctuating these genotypic differences attenuated. Instead, double mutant an improved NADPH balance, compared type, accompanied by increased photosynthetic efficiency, specifically high-light phases. Conclusively, o1 differentially respectively, which associated redox-active functions effects on plant growth constant there joint both Trxs regulating balance performance light.

proficiency level and factors fostering reticence in efl learners

according to cheng (1999), in recent esl/efl literature, asian (especially east asian) learners of english as a foreign/second language have been arguably reported as reticent and passive learners. the most common allegations are that these students are reluctant to participate in classroom discourse; they are unwilling to give responses; they do not ask questions; and they are passive and over...

Different subcellular localizations and functions of human ARD1 variants.

ARD1 is present in various species and has several variants derived from alternative splicing of mRNA. Previously, we reported differential biological functions and cellular distributions of mouse ARD1 (mARD1) variants. However, in comparison to mARD1 variants, human ARD1 (hARD1) variants have been rarely studied. In this study, we characterized a hARD1 variant, hARD1(131) and investigated its ...

(Pro)renin receptor: subcellular localizations and functions.

Since its first report in 1996, the concept of the so-called (Pro)renin receptor ((P)RR/ATP6ap2) has dramactically evolved from a receptor mediating cellular effects of (pro)renin, to a protein with more basic and potentially essential intracellular functions. Among the arguments urging to reconsider the role of (P)RR was the observation that its localization appears mainly intracellular, altho...
